Season starts in Atapuerca

El pasado Domingo, Ortuño competía en el Cross de Atapuerca, considerado por la IAFF como el mejor Cross del mundo.

Last Sunday, Ortuño competed in the Atapuerca Cross, considered by the IAFF as the best Cross in the world.

Highlight the participation of more than 5,500 athletes in the different categories and a very high level represented by the best cross country athletes from around the world.

Alejandro, competed in the junior category where he faced 215 athletes of 12 different nationalities, willing to give everything in the 6 km test.

The main objective for our athlete was to achieve race rhythms and be able to be, within his category, among the 6 best athletes of his new club, Playas de Castellón.

Good feelings for Alejandro, who enjoyed the race and despite having suffered a minor injury in weekly practice, achieved the goals set by his coaching staff.

A beautiful day, overshadowed by the tragic accident suffered during the week by two British athletes, while training to compete in Atapuerca. As a tribute, the British athletes wore black crepe in memory of these two young promises.
