ALEJANDRO ORTUÑO, Bronze medal at the LXV YOUTH SPANISH CHAMPIONSHIP
The big event finally arrived, our favorite test of 2000 obstacles, in which Alejandro was measured against 16 athletes from all over the national territory.
Right from the start, our athlete remained in the top positions and ran a race that he controlled from start to finish, finally achieving a well-deserved 3rd place, the result of a great job done.
In this way, Alejandro won not only a bronze medal, but also the MMP (6:00.71) and the minimum mark for the European Youth Championship, which will be held in Tblisi (Georgia).
His trainer, Fran Carpena, commented at the end of the race: “We are really happy with the result obtained. We've had quite a few difficult weeks, but finally the work and effort put in has been shown on the track. Well-deserved bronze medal for Alejandro.”
Alejandro Ortuño said: “Very happy with the result”. Once again they wanted to make a very slow final and with the experience of Salamanca, I set a higher pace. The bronze medal is just a metal, I have felt much better than in previous races and for me that is very important. At this time, I want to thank my family, mainly my parents who have always been there to give me all their support. To my team CABANES & ORTUÑO Sport, they make me feel great and of course to my club, Hotel la Paz-Ada Yeclano who accompanies me every day in each of my races.
Thank you all and especially my sponsor CABANES & ORTUÑO, for having trusted me.
