CABANES & ORTUÑO SPORTS prepares for the championships of Spain
Full day yesterday Thursday, in preparation for the championships in Spain.
• Session with Dr. Juan Puerto and then with his usual masseuse, Rafael Serrano.
• Juan Antonio Ortega, an expert psychologist in sports matters, held a session with relatives of the Ada - Yeclano athletes.
It is about looking for the best preparation for Alejandro, facing the next competitions. It is important that our athlete arrives in the best possible state, both physically and emotionally.
On the one hand, the Doctor in Sports Medicine D. Juan Puerto, performed the lactate test on Ortuño. This test is performed to assess the concentration of lactate at different intensities (speed) of exercise.
The goal is to know Alejandro's fitness and thus plan the optimal training intensities in his different modalities, using speed or heart rate as a reference.
Good job done yesterday by Dr. Juan Puerto, who has collaborated with great elite athletes (Olympic and world finalists).
On the other hand, Rafael Serrano, a masseuse from C&O Sports, carried out a stretching session. He focused on the lumbosacral area, sacroiliac and dorsal muscles.
All this, aimed at overcoming possible discomfort that may arise due to the great intensity of training that is expected in the coming months.
Finally, Juan Antonio Ortega, sports psychologist at C&O Sports, had a chat with relatives of the Ada-Yeclano athletics club, to which Alejandro belongs.
In this talk, fundamental aspects were discussed, such as the pressure that can arise in a competition and how the family should support an athlete on his long road to success.
Interesting work yesterday, where very important aspects for our athletes were worked on.
